Hi
I always use Paterson tanks. I have all sizes 1-5 rolls of 35mm film. In the
buttom of the tank is written how many ml of developer is required for 1, 2,
3, 4 or 5 rolls. I simply follow instructions (290ml/35mm roll - 500ml/120
roll). I use Ilford ID11, diluted 1+1 almost all the time. Of course I only
develop several rolls simultanously, if they are exposed under similar
conditions. (Films exposed in hard light (flash, direct sun) should be
agitated less than fim exposed in diffused light).
I think it's a good idea not to experiment too much. Once you've found your
favorite developer, stick to it, get to really know it.
A small trick.:
Don't use tap water. Have clean water stored in a small container in the
darkroom. This way it's very easy/fast to get the temperature right!
Best Regards
Jens
