I found that I don't have as wide a choice of AT boards, especially if I want to
stick to AMD's "recommended" list (I want a Duron). A new case isn't too
expensive anyway, and I'll end up setting up my current box for someone
else to use. So its not a big deal to me.

I used coax ethernet because I have three machines (have had up to four)
and am too cheap to buy a hub. Plus I got a whole box of cabling a few
years back for only a few dollars at an auction. I don't need much in the way
of speed, considering I'm using old WD8003 ISA cards :)

Two more reasons I want to upgrade.
I am getting the nagging "buy a mac" feeling though. I'm going to need
SCSI for the scanner I have in mind, and the ease of colour calibration is
tempting. I might see what I can find secondhand, even a G3 would be a big
improvement over what I currently have.
