watch EBAY for a 50 or 100 mm f/4. macro.
The 100 will cost more (around 125-$200) but it is also very usable for a
regular telephoto.
Light is always a problem with macro photography, but depth of field issues keep
fast lenses
from being a solution. I don't see the f2.8 being a real bonus over an f4
macro lense as you
need to keep stopped down a ways anyhow.
