I had SF10 on my old set up and that is what I tried to install.

Interesting.
I didn’t have the problem you had but I’m curious nevertheless.
did you have Sound Forge Audio studio 10 installed on your computer before
the upgrade? I did and thus had the software installed when I undertook the
upgrade and I’ve not had any issues thankfully, in fact the only issues I
had with the upgrade were easily fixed, one was my fault as I didn’t have
the latest version of Window-Eyes installed when I did the upgrade to
Windows 10 and the other issue was Total Record, all the settings
disappeared however that was quickly fixed.
I’m sorry I have to sound like a record but its these times which remind me
yet again just how dam good a system backup is.
, if all else fails you can go back to where you started.

installing Sound Forge 10.
It does not recognise my registration numbers.
I’ve asked sony support to assist but all they said was “These numbers do
not work”. Which I knoew and why I asked for help.
Anyway, if I have to buy a new version, I was wondering if Sound forge 10
Audio Studio was just as accessable as other versions of Sound forge.
