As far as we’re aware the only differences between the original CC SW and the 
new batch is that the sensitivity of the AM Broadcast band has improved 
significantly.

The way the improvements to AM sensitivity were described to me are thus, “If 
you set the DX/Local switch of the new CC SW to local then the AM band has 
about the sensitivity on the AM Broadcast band as the older CC SW model does”.

That’s one hell of a statement and it says a lot because the older CC SW model 
was a great AM performer.
