I have a bluetooth transmitter made by Taotronics. It is about the
shape and size of 3 sticks of chewing gum one on top of the other.
It has a 3-inch cord with a male 3.5mm stereo plug. There is a
rechargeable battery charged using a micro USB cord. It only has a
single button for turning on, pairing, etc. I think I paid just under
$30 from Amazon. I use it exactly as you have described to stream
audio from an MP3 player to either a stereo pair of headphones or a
Plantronics M50 single earpiece.
