Hi folks,

My name is Joseph Lee, an undergraduate computer science student at UC
Riverside. I decided to join this list to learn more about various PC audio
software options out there, as well as to get input from users regarding
NVDA app modules for various audio editors, streamers and a like.

Although I'm not a newbie when it comes to working with audio software such
as GoldWave (which I use to produce various tutorials), I decided to join
this list to learn more about other audio editing and streaming software for
PC's. I also like to collaborate with a number of members on testing various
audio software for accessibility issues.

The other reason I came onboard was to request input from users on using
various audio software with NVDA. As a contributor and add-on developer for
NVDA, I know that users play significant roles when it comes to writing app
modules for NVDA for a program. So far, I have written an app module for
improving usage of GoldWave, with another app module for Station Playlist
Studio in the works.

For people who use these programs or other audio software, I'd like to
gather input from you, the users of various PC audio software on programs
which would see benefits from writing an NVDA app module. Specifically, for
now, I'd like to work with users of GoldWave and Station Playlist Studio on
how I and other NVDA developers can improve usage of these programs for NVDA
users.

If you want more information on NVDA, please write to NVDA Users list hosted
at Freelists. If you'd like to help out with actual code writing for the app
modules, please write to NVDA Add-ons list, again hosted at Freelists. If
you are interested in testing the app modules for GoldWave or Station
Playlist Studio, please write to me offlist or post a message to the NVDA
list and I'd be happy to work with you on improving the app modules.

Thanks.

Cheers,

Joseph
