I think it is the look of the control pannal he is complaining about. remember that in the earlier versions you went to the volume tab to choose your sound card and its features. That tab has been removed in 5.6 You now go to device tab to make those choices.

I don't think goldwave has changed anything that drastic in a long time. I use windows7 and goldwave and have been for at least 2 years. I don't think goldeave is the problem. Can you give a little more detail about what exactly isn't working that used to work? Maybe it's a jfw thing or a windows settings issue.
Would be happy to help if I had more information.
good luck

Subject: This new goldwave 5.67

Hi,
Well, I bought this new computer using Windows 7. Now, that I installed goldwave I found it is a new version, 5.6x. Any tutorials on this version? I can't even find where to make particular settings or the volume tab where I used to set up the ikind of recvording I used to do. I am wondering if an older version such as 5.58 will work on a windows 7 computer, and if I can rool back to the older version.
Any tutorials out there for this so-called new version/
Thanks. Vinny
