Hi Walter,
here's Magic DVD, with serial, which is in the log folder.
Don't update after installing.
Let me know when you have it.

Subject: RE: Prism Video Converter

OK folks. I guess I had better explain this. Someone on this list a while
back asked for recommendations for ripping DVDs. I was one of the
responders and recommended Magic DVD. Arthur then sent me a copy of Prism
and I've installed it and have it up and running. However I've been
communicating with Arthur privately about the use of this programme. I have
a BBC DVD box set I want to rip to my PC. When I used Prism I got the
message it couldn't open the file and the reason might be it is probably
encrypted. I then tried with a DVD my PA brought in with her and I tried
ripping that with Prism and got the same message. Arthur gave me some
advice but that didn't work either and I still get the same message. I have
the trial version of Magic DVD installed and that ripped the video my PA
brought with her although the quality was garbage, I need to tweak the
settings. I'll do that once I decide if I'm going to buy it or not. Magic
DVD ripper says they have incorporated inscription busting properties in
their programme and they can be updated. I was wondering if perhaps the
problems I'm having with Prism is due to the programme not having the
ability to negate encryption on the disc and that was the point of my
original mail. I couldn't remember Arthur's email address and lazily just
did a reply to the mail he posted here forgetting the email would go to the
list and not to Arthur alone. It could be that part of the problem I'm
having with Prism is my not knowing how to use it properly, the help files
didn't give a great deal of help but in truth, I don't know the reason.
Walter.

With regard to the subject of this message which - according to the subject
line - is Prism Video Converter? Well I have it here thanks to a
recommendation from this list and I wouldn't be without this tool, probably
the best video converting software I've seen on Planet Earth thus far both
for Windows and Mac operating systems, so easy to use and accessible.

Howdy!

Okay, I've missed something so someone explain to me please the subject line
when we're talking about something completely different?

Magic DVD Copier or Magic DVD Ripper have absolutely nothing whatever to do
with Prism Video Converter, Prism converts DVD formats, Magic DVD Copier
copies DVD's and Magic DVD Ripper Rips DVD'S to your computer <smile>.

Hi Arthur. I've tried doing what you said regarding ripping a DVD but
still
get the error message. I think it might be required to get some kind of
plug in to defeat any kind of incription on the disc. Looking at Magic
DVD
ripper's web page they have the necessary things embedded in their
programme
to defeat incription and it can be optionally updated. If you have any
suggestions or advice it would be welcome. If I could avoid forking out a
lot of money to purchase Magic DVD ripper my bank balance would be the
happier. Walter.
