Yes, I've had some private email about the Squeezebox Radio, don't know much 
about it other than the fact that its a mono set with one speaker, think its 
portable too! if it can be configured in the way all the other Squeezebox 
Players can then that would certainly be worth looking at.

I appreciate you want to use a radio without a computer, the Squeezebox Radio 
may offer that and the Squeezebox Boom certainly does offer that flexibility to 
the user, not as accessible as we'd like it to be yes but with a bit of 
patience you can get around it.

I can see people running into all sorts of problems with a truly "Stand-alone" 
set that won't interface with a computer at all, the most obvious being finding 
stations and adding them to a preset or favourites list and the next - perhaps 
not quite obvious - is controlling the settings of the player.

One thing I really like about the Boom - and I demonstrate this in the review - 
is that I now have a fully accessible and flexible alarm clock.
