Not all that much really, I have a midi keyboard, a Fastrak mixer with
an instrument input, XLR microphone with phantom power etc.

Reaper is sound production software which pretty much does everything
and is accessible, you can even do multi track recording with the
software if you so desire.
I think the licence is only about $60.00 which is giving it away and
that licence can be used across platforms so you can use Mac or PC
versions.
The manual is well written though extra tutorials to deal with specific
subjects are also available and I warn you, when I talk manuals that's
exactly what I'm talking and this manual would look at home on a coffee
table believe me and it goes into heaps of detail about how to use
Reaper etc.

I was able to get Protools to work here though I wasn't particularly
worried about that software to be hones as I prefer Reaper, found out
about Reaper after I'd purchased the package so not complaining in
the slightest.
