Hello Adrian: I tried changing it to "Maximum" still the same problem (I'm
fine, as long as I don't minimize everything and have the desk top up) but
once I've done that, I can get to everything I have opened, except for
Windows Media! It had been set to "Normal"; I decided to change it to
"Maximum" to see if it would make any difference; it did not; not so far
anyhow! Maybe I need to restart the computer to see if that'll change
things for me! It's still interesting to me that, if I am listening to
something that streams with Windows Media, if I try to close out the stream
with "alt-F4", Windows Media does close, but the stream keeps playing on!

Hi, Tom.
WMP opens as a separate window for me. You might check if the application
is
set to open in a "normal" window. Go to the desktop icon and press
alt-enter
to bring up properties. Tab four or five times to hear the window size
options. On my system, "normal" is set. If I arrow down, I am offered open
in a minimized or a maximum window.

Subject: Windows Media Question
Hello List: Have an interesting thing going on with Windows Media Player:
if I am playing something (let's say an audio stream) and am using Windows
Media Player to stream it) if I open something else, like my email program
or some other program, I find that I cannot get back to the Windows Media
Player window! The only way I can get back to Windows Media Player is to
hit the shortcut to Windows Media Player on my desk top! Is this normal?
If not, how do I get around this? Am running Jaws 12, Windows XP (home
edition with Service Pack 3) this isn't a real big deal as I certainly can
just hit the Windows Media Player icon on the desk top; am just wondering
why I would have to do this; why am I losing the Windows Media Player
window?
