If you have the 4th Generation iPod Nano, you can use iTunes to send voice
clips to it that will speak the menus, folders and tracks. This doesn't
give you a true screen reader like VoiceOver on the iPhone and iPod Touch,
but may do what you want. Rockbox has also been mentioned, and it works in
a similar fashion, using recorded voice clips to speak menus, folders and
tracks; but replaces the firmware of the iPod, making it no longer a true
iPod. If you decided to go with Rockbox, you would need to see if it
supported the iPod model you have.
