I may be missing your point since you didn't include the message you're responding to, but my understanding of how the NLS player works, and the way I want it to work, is that if I'm listening to a book then I want it to play until I turn it off or I enable the sleep mode. I don't want it to shut off every 30 minutes. Jus because I'm not pressing a button. If I pause a book, pull out the cartridge, ..., but leave it on then I want it to shut off after 30 minutes, which I think it does.
