Protools is a third party application, to my knowledge its much like Cakewalk
and Sonar so if you're not into recording music then its probably not worth
your while buying. Then there's the question of accessibility? Last I heard
Protools - or the latest version thereof - was not accessible with Voiceover at
this time so what are you left with if you want to do multi track recording on
a Mac? As I said in my original reply on this thread, I'm not sure about the
capabilities of Garage Band having not used it myself so people would do well
to point their browsers to http://www.icanworkthisthing.com and read the
tutorials and articles posted by users of Garage Band there.

I do know that if standard or multi track audio recording/editing is what's
required then there's a very good accessible application called Amadeus Pro,
I've been using this software now for 3 years and the developer has been very
receptive to the needs of the users of the software, hence we've had a lot of
accessibility improvements and shortcut key combinations included into the
software over a period of time, thanks to all those who have written to the
developer of the software alongside me with the specific goal of further
enhancing this product.

Amadeus Pro is probably the cheapest accessible multi track audio
recorder/editor on the market at just under $50.00
