Hi John, If you're looking for tiny plug-in speakers with audiophile qualities, I'm afraid you'll probably have to spend megabucks if you can even find such an animal. You won't find much bass in most tiny plug-in speakers. I compared these to another plug-in speaker selling for nearly twice as much and found these to be better in the bass department and in the stereo separation department, but they're still tiny plug-in speakers and will sound tinny when compared to a higher-quality and bigger set of speakers.
I personally use these for when I wish to listen to an audiobook without having the headphones on and while I'm doing something else in the room.
