Well, glad it works for you. Guess I'll just keep on playing with "direct sound output" and hopefully I'll make it work, thanks anyway. ----- Original Message ----- From: "dennis" <dennis.corneli...@trinitycounseling.com>

OK, I've looked there many times but could NOT find the checkbox you speak
of that's one reason why I'm using "Direct sound output" in Winamp. The
other reason is in the newer versions of Winamp (as I stated in a previous
message) SQR is problematic, thanks again.

you get rid of the pop up adds in the preferences. there is a checkbox i
think in advanced that you uncheck and they go away.

I gave up using SQR 1.175 because I kept being thrown into a website that
wants me to donate. Don't mind donating but this becomes a nuscence and
couldn't find any way to get rid of that popup thing. Also, with the
newer
versions of Winamp SQR I am finding is probmematic.

using the SQR cross fading pluggin. 1.175. you can get it at.
http://www.sqrsoft.com.ar/en/index.html

works better than anything. make sure you don't get any version other
than
1.175. the newer version isn't as jaws friendly.

High Dennis,
Which plug in are you using in Winamp to achieve that?
 John.

here is what works for me very well. you go in to the preesets tab of
the
configuration, and
choose radio, then press the load button, then locate the close
button
at the bottom of the screen and left click it, then in cross fading
tab, move the signal analyze thing down to negative 15, and in the
fade
on stop skip, check the box that says flush the buffer, then in the
advanced tab, uncheck the box that says cross fade tracks longer
than,
and it should fade pretty close to the parameters of a radio station,
good luck.

While we're on this thread could someone PLEASE give me some
ballpark
numbers on the crossfading parameters. I have been playing around
with
the numbers but NOT having any success at all and I would appreciate
it
if someone who has got this working could give me at least a little
assistance? I am running Winamp 5.552. Thanks in advance...Paul

High Robert,
No, how do you do that?
The play list that I have where it fades all of the tracks tightly,
is
a
group of jazz tunes that I recorded myself.
But the tracks in these other play lists that I have, are tracks
that
I
ripped from CD's.
Do those have to be edited in order for the cross fader in Winamp
to
work
correctly with them?
 John.

Have you checked your files for trailing silence at the end of the
track?

Hello all list members,
Just as the tidal says, I wish to do tight cross fading in
Winamp.
But here is the funny thing.
With one play list that I have, Winamp fades them real tight.
But all the other play list that I have, this doesn't happen.
Could someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong?
Thinks in advance.
My best regards.
 John.
