John, Not that I think that this is an issue that
would make me consider throwing my Stream in the
garbage, or migrating to one of the other
players, but she is kind of right about this one.
If you press the 4 or 6 button when you are in
the bookshelf, it does take some time for the
stream to fully identify the book. It has to
speak all the numbers up to the presently
highlighted book, and if you press to the right
or left too fast, there can be a significant
delay. Not having tried any of the other players,
I don't know if this is an issue or not. It is
easy enough however to press the go to key, and
estimate the number of the book you are looking
for, and of course, that cuts down considerably
on having to thumb through all books. In other
words, kind of a small annoyance when you
consider all the nice features and power of the machine as a whole.
