Bob,

I have the SRS program installed, and agree that the headphones sound is
enclosed, and lacks focus. There are some inaccessible controls where you
can alter the space etc, but as yet I haven't experimented with them.
What is really needed is something which goes between the sound card and the
headphones, and has knobs on it so that you can alter things.

David.

The best I've been able to use is the SRS WOW! built in to Windows Media
Player. I find it works best on the large speakers setting. The headphone
setting sounds filtered and closed in to me.

SRS has Windows software but the demo wasn't to Jaws friendly. I believe
they also have hardware. A friend had a hardware unit some years ago. The
quality could have been better.

I previously had Stream FX for Winamp from Spatializer Audio but they appear

to have gone out of business.

All the other 3d audio plug-ins I've tried for WMP were not at all Jaws
friendly. Couldn't find a control anywhere with the Jaws cursor.

Bob
