shift e allows you to type in the time segment yu want
f5 rewind
f6 fast forward
f7 pause
f8 stop
Use f6 to move to the beginning of the sound bite you want then f7 to pause
[ to set the start marker
f4 to play until you find the end of your sound bite then f7 to pause and ] to close.
Once you have marked your segment you can adjust affects as you like.

I requested help with goldwave last week and can't seem to find the messages with the answers I was looking for. I have an mp3. I want to take a portion out of it to use for ringtones. I can open it and use f4 to start it playing. How do I mark the part I want and then play it back? Any keystrokes or info on gold wave would be helpful. I looked in the manual and couldn't find keyboard commands to select a part of the track.b
