Hello,
Is it some kind of a humming noise or it is a bussing sound?
Either way, it is all coming from the power supply.
If the power supply is weak and doesn't have enough amps of currant, that
thing will make a lot of noise with USB audio devices.
Call or go by the store and see if they will upgrade the power supply for
you.
My best regards!
John.

Hi
This is one of the new Acer laptops. She had an HP before and had no such
problems. It also sounds to me like a power supply problem.

Hello,
The problem may be with the power supply itself.
If the power supply isn't regulated properly, it will make a lot of noise
through your sound system.
Where did she get this lab top from?
You and or her may wish to start there and see if they will replace her
power supply with a better one.
My best regards!
John.

Hi all
A friend of mine has a very strange problem with her new laptop.
She uses a xitel device to play music from her laptop through a high
quality stereo system. When she connects this device to her laptop
while on battery power, everything is fine and the sound is clear.
However, as soon as she connects the power chord of her laptop, a lot
of noise is generated through her speakers. She had another laptop
before which was stolen, and it worked fine.
She has already tried to connect the laptop to a different power
outlet and also tried to move the xitel further away from the laptop
with a USB extension cable without any luck.
Any advice from all you knowledgeable folks?
Andre
