  Hi Garry

Thanx! Looking for some way to record conferences and meetings. The
important things is that the recording must be clear enough that persons
with a hearing loss can understand it. I am not so sure that the internal
microphone on the Plextalk ptr2 which I will be using will really be able
to do the best job. In the plextalk manual they actually tell you to
connect an external microphone if you want good recordings.

  Andre,

I searched for the Voice Tracking Array Microphone with Google and found it
quite interesting to read about how it works. It contains a number of
directional microphone elements and electronically selects whichever element
provides the best speech quality for individuals around a conference
table, while canceling out unwanted noise. It seems to also be useful for
speech recognition applications when you don't want to be tied to a headset.

The $250 price tag is a little too steep just to play around with, but for
someone who has a particular need, I guess it could be justified. I didn't
look for a better price or any reviews.
