Hi Larry, I don't think anyone is threatening anyone with anything. If a list no longer meets one's needs, it's perfectly appropriate to leave that list. As the discussion is about whether a change in the direction of the list is a good idea, those who believe that such a change would mean that the list no longer meets their needs are just as entitled to express a view as are those who believe it's a good idea.
I already subscribe to a number of lists that exist exclusively for this purpose. One such list is streamad. [EMAIL PROTECTED] In fact, Streamad was founded in response to too many promotional posts on the PC-Audio list, which I founded back in 1998. I am a member of this list to read about tips and tricks regarding audio on the PC. That is at this point its purpose, and it is that which interests me. A suggestion has been offered and trying it once seems reasonable enough. Like Mike, I really have no interest in the topic, but I recognize that others may. It seems to me that unsubscribing from the list over this issue might be just a tad extreme, premature at the very least. But if that is what works for you, it's your right. Personally though, the one thing that might convince me to unsubscribe is if I have to read one more threat to um... unsubscribe. *grin* Larry Audio List Help, Guidelines, Archives and more... http://www.pc-audio.org To unsubscribe from this list, send a blank email to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Audio List Help, Guidelines, Archives and more... http://www.pc-audio.org To unsubscribe from this list, send a blank email to: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
