John Worrying about MSFT pulling off support for XP, at this time, is a bit premature as this won't occur for years. Keep in mind that XP systems are still being sold, at a minimu through June 30 of this year, by major manufacturers such as Dell (just received a souped-up XP laptop from them this week). As for the audio problems relative to Vista, time will likely cure these issues thanks to both MSFT and 3rd parties. So while for now we may prefer sticking with XP for audio needs, one day this will change as advancements march on. RAV, from what I understand, is now fully Vista compliant and TR has released a Vista compatible version of their software. Give this another year or so and remaining issues will be addressed as the marketplace will insist on this.
