To get around this problem, I use DVD Audio Extractor to rip the audio 
from the DVD and then I can use WMP, Winamp or any other MP3 player to 
listen to the DVD. DVD Audio Extractor isn't free, and it can be 
downloaded from http://www.castudio.org/dvdaudioextractor/.
