I think a lot depends here on how much you're prepared to put into and  
learn an application. Again, I can't say much about Goldwave right now  
but I reckon from what I've seen thus far that you should certainly be  
able to obtain excellent results when editing, it has more than all  
the tools you'll ever need that's for sure.
