All of the cleaning solutions that I mentioned are readily available. A pharmacy will have the pure alcohol, and chances are that they will have distilled water as well. Some people are recommending a mild dish liquid. Keep in mind that only a few drops are required. By all means do not use a window cleaner with ammonia such as Windex, and water out of the tap will not do, as there are harsh chemicals in the water that will damage the record. You also want to use a lent free cloth or many of the cleaning brushes that are available on the internet. I was a music librarian at one time and can tell you from experience that the distilled water and alcohol solution works well without spending an arm and a leg on a similar commercial product.
