Hi, I've been listening to someones radio show and they mentioned in there about they got a new mixer. What exactly is a mixer and how does it work? I'm using sam broadcaster, and am trying to get this here radio show running smoothly. What programs do you guys recommend? And is there a way for me to patch in skype calls via my soundcard without this thing echoing like hell...its getting a bit annoying (Someone will call. I'll be like ok, we have a call here. Most people have speakers, which is really annoying, but anyway, I say hi, blah blah, but when they speak, i get horrible loopback. Not sure what to do about this). I have a few choices as to soundcards. One desktop has a SiS 7018, this laptop, which I use most of the time, just has a connecsant, and my other desktop has an SB live.. They all have stario mix, and sometime or other I plan on seeing which sounds the best, but what other factors come into play here? ram, processor speed? I'd like to be able to play a song and talk at the same time- I heard you can't do that in winamp?
