Actually, Albert, I wasn't quoting you, but another lister I know well enough to believe he prefers anonymity. But your added voice gives more support to the idea. ----- Original Message ----- From: "albert griffith" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "'PC Audio Discussion List'" <pc-audio@pc-audio.org> Sent: Wednesday, October 17, 2007 1:22 PM Subject: RE: Flash Player
I'm the user whose quote is offered below. The difficult thing for totally blind users is that you may not know flash hasn't installed. for sighted people, a movie comes up to confirm the success of the installation. The installation will go all the way to the end and even ask you to restart your browser without issuing an error message. I didn't realize the player wasn't successfully installed until the next time I received a message on another site telling me to go get flash player. Check your add/remove programs list to make sure flash player is there. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Adrian Spratt Sent: Wednesday, October 17, 2007 10:10 AM To: PC Audio Discussion List Subject: Re: Flash Player I don't know if Ketan is trying to update an existing version. There is a special uninstall utility at http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/knowledgebase/index.cfm?id=tn_14157 You run that baby and then you can install the latest version. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Cornell Ligon" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Ketan, the browser may be blocking the active x control, which allows programs to download onto your system.
