The Ramsey unit I have, which I had someone build, also has the ability to go from mono or stereo. Mono can be a surprising help for sports or oldtime radio if you are listening outside the range of the signal. This Ramsey goes about 10 blocks. I suppose it's a bit illegal but I don't interfere with anyone so nobody notices. Besides, I'm on my third wife so I've lost contact with morality a long time ago.
