Guys and gals While I personally don't rquire the list name (or a shortened key) in the subject line, I believe most of you are missing the mainpoint behind it: it simplifies filtering for those who are less sophisticated in the use of filtering in their email programming. That's why I personally support the idea behind subject line tagging as it aids the general user. Explain all you want how you can do this and that, and I may agree, but you will be going over the heads of the basic user. Think beyound what is good for you personally and not what can be done as it is now. The simpler msg sorting is made, the more people will use it. And the simpler it is made, the more feedback you may get to your questions as it encourages more folks to participate. It wouldn't even have to be the entire list name but perhaps a ((((pa)
or (pca) prior to each subject. The sentiment is pretty obvious -- and I understand it -- but perhaps what is missing is the notion that the needs of a basic user might be best served by such tagging even if it is either personally unneeded or slightly inconvenient.
