The only way I've found of doing this is by having multiple sound
devices installed onto your computer or to use a hardware voice
synthesizer, you've just highlighted the main reason why I'll keep
using hardware speech until "death us do part" <smile>.
Anyway getting back to the original point, if you have multiple sound
devices installed on your computer system you can direct Winamp to
play through one whilst Windows sounds, Window-Eyes etc are played
through another.

Hi guys,

I'm using WinAmp and Window-Eyes while on the computer. There are times
when I'm trying to read something with Window-Eyes, but WimAmp is too
loud.
When I use the up and down arrows to turn WinAmp down, Window-Eyes
goes down
too. Is there a way to separate the two so that Window-Eyes will
stay at
the same volume no matter how I adjust Win
Amp? Thanks. Amy
