Hi, Wayne and list! The Disney Mix Stick is what I was calling the Tinker
Bell Mix Stick a week or so ago on this list. It's an MP3 player geared
for kids; some have pictures of Disney characters on them, but you can get
one (which I did) that's chrome colored and has no picture. It costs about
$40 and uses SD cards. It comes with 128 meg memory but you can use up toe
1 gig, so say the instructions. I got it because I needed something cheap,
accessible, that plays those drat wma/drm files. I got mine from Target and
like it fine! It really is pretty simple to operate, meant for a six year
old, aftger all. hth

Peace,
Kathy

Subject: Dealing with the sync list in Windows Media Player 10

Hi, all! As some of you may know, when you transfer a windows media file
that has digital rights Management protection, you have to go through this
dreadful song and dance to first synchronize and then transfer your files
using Windows Media Player. Has anyone found a quick way to do that, or are
there some JAWS scripts around to make this so-called accessible program
more accessible? I'm going to be talking to some VI teachers tomorrow, and
I'd like to find a quick, consistent way to transfer these files to a
portable device.

By the bye, for anyone who cares, the Disney Mix Stick is very cool and
accessible. Only thing I have reservations about is its rechargable battery
which can't be removed from the device, so you throw the thing away, I
guess, when the battery stops being able to hold a charge! Yuck!

Any help with this whole wma-drm business would be much appreciated!

Peace,
Kathy

The option you want is only called "what you hear" on SoundBlaster cards. If
you have some other brand of card, it may be called something like "stereo
mix" or "stereo mixer." But it should function the same way.
