I am familiar with this chip. It is an onboard chip in many of the new
boards and is quite popular now. The only problem with it is that it is not
very accessible when it comes to working with recording with different kinds
of devices. I have the same chip on my board. I elected to go with a
turtle beach riviera sound card, and then finally to a sound blaster live 24
bit card. I am by far happiest with the soundblaster. I would recommend
that you consider doing the same when you can and if you wish. Otherwise, I
will try to help you figure out your sound as best I can. If you wish, send
your contact info to me off list and I will try to help you troubleshoot.
My e-mail address is [EMAIL PROTECTED] Thanks and good luck.
