Try to save it as WAV and put it onto an audio CD. Then play that CD in a standalone player.
That will tell you whether you have decent sound. BTW, the Higher the bit-rate of your original recording, the better the sound. Most commercial CDs are recorded at 44,000. It might be something as simple as your Winamp settings, but you won't know until you test.
