WellWinamp, so anything I might say would be a guess. I'll leave the next step to the rest of the list. I could only guess that winamp is playing the file at too high a volume, if it is distorted. If it just sounds "compressed," the MP3 bit rate might be too low in WInamp. I don't know how to check or change these things.
