hi. Live journal also has many US phone numbers that can be called to voice post on. You can get a list of these by going to http://www.livejournal.com/phonepost/ and you could then, in theory at least, call one of those numbers on a phone if you have free unlimited long distance as i do. or until the end of the year, skype is offering free phone calls in the US and Canada, so you could do that as well. This feature works out for people who don't have a web server to upload audio files to, or don't have the necessary equipment to record audio files. So while Haden's method sure works out great, that's another option to consider too.
