We have Nero Version 5.0 installed on our computers. We really haven't done much recording, but Friday I needed to make copies of a file and used the program. It was easier than I thought. I recorded the cds from a file on my hard drive.
Yesterday I tried recording the exact same file and had trouble. I tried burning disks from the file I had made on Friday but couldn't seem to get it working. I finally copied one of the disks and that worked, but it was difficult. I couldn't remember what I had done Friday; it was all hunt and peck so to speak. I still need to burn two more disks of my file. During the process of recording I ended up with two disks which just wouldn't play after I believed I had recorded on them. I remembered seeing an option in the burn menu to test a disk without burning it. I wanted to test the two disks to determine whether they were bad or whether I was doing something wrong; but couldn't find that option. Are there any tutorials about Nero 5.0? Would it be better to upgrade, although we aren't really doing a lot of recording, at least for now. Finally, if someone would be willing to contact me with some suggestions, maybe even off list, I'd appreciate it. Thanks in advance.
