My new computer includes a 5.1 surround sound chip. It offers 1 plugg each for mike, speakers and line in. The store that sold it to me claims that I cannot do better with ----- a USB sound card, or an autigy 2ZS which offers jacks on both the front and back. This is a great computer in all other respects, but it's my feeling that I can do better than a 5.1 chip without breaking the bank. Does anyone have an opinion on the subject.
By the way, most of my recording is line in, and it would certainly help to have more than 1 line in jack along with convenient access. I'm using bothe Window Eyes 5.5 and Jaws 7.0.
