Joe, for radio interviews, I'd use the Plextalk PTR2. It doesn't have a display and speaks every prompt and info hint. It gives an audible warning, when the lithium ion battery gets flat. And it has a talking recording level control. The PTR2 isn't as small as the Edirol recorders, but one can put it in an over the shoulder bag together with a microphone and one then has an excelent and totally accessible reporters kit. You can listen to my reviews of the PTR1 and PTR2 at www.longus.info.
