No, heard on either xmfan.com or xm411.com that some guy took some gear apart and made his own rig out of it. He must've taken the xm module out of something like a PCR, another not made product any more, and built up something new with a new interface, that among other improvements, would have speech. Even if he publishes plans for such a device, don't know anyone skilled enough to put it together. The talking idea is good for the sighted too, however. It would make driving safer so they don't have to look at the display when they're curious about what's on. And for us, it would allow us to know what's on.
