Hi Scott.

There's only really a few standard reasons why this wouldn't work:

1.  Your CD player does not play rewritable discs - many older players can't
2.  You burned the disc as an MP3 disc and your CD player does not support
these discs - many CD players only play audio CD's though there's an
increasing number of modern players that will
3.  You burned the disc using packet writing - that is where you copy and
paste the file to the rewritable rather than creating a compilation and then
burning - I've never seen a standard CD player that can cope with this
4.  You have a faulty disc
