Peter, others may see it differently, but to me it's easier to set up timed recordings in Replay Radio. I still like total recorder for other tasks, but Replay Radio has a database of stations, and you can add to that database with your own favorites, again contributing to ease of use. Replay Radio does offer a 7 day demo. You could give it a try for yourself and see what you think. I believe that the demo's only restriction is that recordings are limited to an hour.

I asked about this a while back but maybe I missed any responses.

For thos who have used Replay Radio and total Recorder to record streams,
what would be the advantage of changing from Total Recorder to Replay Radio?

I ask this because total Recorder seems to cause some conflict when playing
CD's on my puter.

Larry, now that I think about it, there is a setting that starts
replay-radio when windows starts and I believe minimizes it to the systray.
This can be changed in the settings section which is found in the main menu
near the end of choices. When the program starts, shift tab about three or
four times and you should get to settings. Hit the spacebar, when you do.
I believe the choice of starting replay-radio when windows starts is in the
"general" tab of that menu I think. I never thought of this as I keep boxes
like this unchecked as a rule and did it so long ago I'd forgotten about the
option.
