ah yes,
DVD Ram is basically the Betamax format of the DVD Recordable format wars.
well actually this isn't exactly true; there are DVD+R and DVD-R, but both of these
are still around - DVD Ram isn't (much).
(Betamax - for anyone who wants to know - was the competing format to VHS)!
history has a strange way of repeating this same mess, again and again, the current
players are HD DVD and Blu Ray discs.
(not to mention Double Layer Discs....)
