I have tried setting it to sound board Richard, but I believe that then, I am unable to record direct stream. Should this be the case?

You can also record streaming audio, using most other recorders, although Total recorder handles this function in a different manner. I can use the instant messaging facility, but every time I try to place a call to either another skype user or using skype out, skype crashes. The only reason that I know this is an issue with total recorder, is because, every time total recorder is uninstalled, this never ever happens. Any ideas?
