Hi Shirley. In answer to your question on whether you can burn a compilation CD using Nero but taking the tracks directly from CD's rather than your hard drive, well, yes you can. However, this is not recommended because what you're doing here is using the track at once method of burning. With this method, the laser pauses after each track and then has to engage again when ready for the next track. Best results are obtained when using disc at once for music CD's and this can only be achieved by copying a whole CD or by burning a compilation of tracks from your hard drive. Track at once is only recommended when burning data CD's.
