I own a sb extegy and I'm very happy with it. Both line in and mike is very sencible and work fine (better than my audgy 2 zs in my desktop machine).
I can recomend this one but the software is not so accessible with screen readers.

Would someone please tell me the difference between the Sound Blaster Extigy and the Audigy? Are both of these PCI cards or are they u s b? How do they compare in terms of sound quality and signal to noise ratio with the Sound Blaster u s b mp3 plus?
Do all of these cards use stereo mini jacks or do some have R C A jacks for the line in and or aux jacks?
Lastly, on my Real Talk AC 97 as well as a couple of Sound Blaster live value cards I have owned, the microphone volume level was lowsy even when set to max with the 20 db gain boost enabled. This has been true regardless of which mikes I have used. Is this typical? If so, why? I want a sound card where I have to back the mike gain down to make recordings. No problems with the aux and line in levels, just the mike pre amp.
