Right. It wasn't too long ago, though, when you couldn't play an mp3 cd in your car or home stereo. That's why, I mentioned archival, in my original question. Now, I've managed to make a dvd plus r at the stunning speed of 2.4x, and a dvd minus r, which recorded at 8x. These discs are accessible when in the drive, so you could put a boat load of mp3's on it and then play it on your computer. You could put, say, all your audible books on it without cluttering up your hard drive. Its huge, compared to the old cd! Do you remember the 5.25 floppy that held 720k of data?
