This is correct. There's really not much difference at all for the normal stuff that you use Winamp for, but there is a serious difference if you want to use it to rip cds. The free version will rip, but only at 2x. It doesn't matter how fast your pc is or how fast your burner is. 2x is all you'll get. The pro version, on the other hand, will rip as fast as your burner will go. It's also not a bad idea to go ahead and get the pro version because of all the work they put into it. As far as I'm concerned, Winamp is the best player bar none, and they really put a lot in the free version and the only thing they cripple is the cd ripper, and I don't think most people use it for that anyway. And for 15 bucks, you get a good ripper, too. I'm seriously considering getting the pro just to say Thank You for such a good product, and another thing is that when a new version comes out, all you have to do is install it over the old one, and your new version is a registered pro version if you've paid the 15 bucks.
