Hi, Gang. I'm having a bit of a problem listening to online broadcasts through Winamp. I have a dialup connection and the stream often starts and stops when I am listening. Is there any way to fine-tune Winamp 2.90 so that the breakup would stop? The broadcast seems to skip as well a little bit.
When I used to have cable or DSL, I noticed some breakup, but not as severe as this. So, I'm wondering if maybe some special fine-tuning needs to be done before tuning into online broadcasts again. Part of the reason I don't have DSL anymore, is many of the providers tie you to a contract and I just got out of one when I got no satisfaction from a provider. I find it to be a high speed hheadache when the technicians will not come out and assist live with a problem. Being without sighted help I have to wrestle with this alone. Any tips on fine-tuning Winamp 2.90 would be appreciated. It is the version I am most comfortable with as the latest version 5.03 is not screen reader friendly even with Window-Eyes. There are too many inaccessible features with 5.03, which is why I took it off my system after getting it back from the shop.
